People are getting more Object oriented

Recently i had to attend a workshop. Initially it was planned at 4:00 but at about 3:55 or so we were informed to the emergency number that it will be at 5:30; and few minutes later the i got another call telling the location is shifted to else where. I was angry as by 3:55 i was already at the previously planned location and was very angry  at the management. Infact i knew one person who had to travel 15 km over bus and when informed (at 3:55) she was already through. I wanted to know how they would react to the situation.

At 5:30 when we all assembled it seemed as if nobody was interested in taking the point up and making them aware of the pain they went through. I felt like people are getting more object oriented and are interested only in the end product irrespective of the pains they take during this. I couldnt digest this at first... but later felt.. may b i need some attitude shift. Its so easy to let go such things and not fight which would otherwise cost ur piece of mind.

A Good poem

few minutes back i had seen the below telugu poem. I think i had byhearted it when i was ... may b in 6th class or so. Nice meaning packed in few words.. is as follows.

కృషి తో నాస్తి దుర్భిక్షం,
జపతూ నాస్తి పాతకం,
మౌనేన కలహం నాస్తి,
నాస్తి జాగారతో భయం

What it means?
The guy who works hard there is nothing like impossible
the one who prays god is untouched by evil
silence solves dispute
the one who is always careful never fears

My beautiful College... Sweet memories

Few minutes back i had seen photos of my college (B.Tech) on  Facebook. It looked so lovely... and took me into memories...

I did my B.Tech at MGIT. As i studied i had no special feeling ... i used to feel it like another 10th class... The same point -The concepts are with the author of the books and int he brains of the inventors.. last minutes studies and cooking up in the exams/ practicals and finally passing out the semester. Added ragging... teasing.. bla bla bla.. etc... Things were smooth and i had never felt my college special.

I had done M.Tech at HCU -Hyderabad central university. When i understood that i am through the screening tests.. i was exited, on the top of the Earth. This is a beautiful one.. vast campus.. in fact i had seen many peacocks, cranes (bird), wild pigs ... nursery, social forestry, rocks peacock lake... it felt it like the paradise on Earth. After our Computer networks class at abt 6:30 in the evenings, i can still feel, the cool breeze that filled us... the sounds of the leaves... the twilight... it was so scenic. These days i take every opportunity to  visit the campus and walk all around (abt 6KM or so); (btw i love walking)

let me come to the point... @ M.Tech. It was a difficult time... at evenings we used to go for walk and the mirchi bujji was luring.. however i had to be tight lipped most of the time for no money. I couldn't afford for hostel (700 rs per year; 700 Rs per month for mess) Slowly as things were closing and it was the time for campus interviews and each of us had to pay 2K to attend them... I understood how difficult it was at home and said 'i cannot' pay the amount... people didnt speak a word then but finally didnt allow me either to attend the interviews either and my Btech memories striked me...

@Btech each of us paid abt 1000 Rs for freshers party and abt 1.2K for farewell. No body insisted us to pay it in full. I still remember when some of my friends said they will not attend as they cannot pay.. yet people (Balakoteshwar rao, Rinesh etc..)  insisted them to come.. and not to worry about the money. Infact i know some guys paying 4K and 5K. I felt so warm.. moving and blissful.. I missed them.

Now as software engineer i feel Mtech  beautiful.... and Btech lovely/ fentastic.

Appearance are deceptive

Every divali the office gives out sweets to the employees. This is customary in india as divali is considered one of the main festivals... the festival of lights. But i see a pattern.. through out my career the employers give sweets..  only from almond house.. and they never taste good... when enquired the HR tells they spent abt 500 Rs on each packet.... so what? read on..

Pina pataram lona lotaram.. aka appearance are deceptive
(all these from my cell phone camera)

Its fine great and fabulous till u have them... and then... the sweets remain at home un-consumed/ un-touched for the next 1 month.

One thing i dont understand .. how is it that every time they only go to almond house.. as if we dont have any other sweet shops at hyderabad... and how is it always a co-incidence that these sweets never taste good.... yet we get only to them. Give me 100 Rs and i can buy you the sweets which u'll empty with in 5 minutes of opening/ tasting which ever comes earlier.

Have u had a similar experience????

KBC then and now

I was eagerly waiting to see the new series of KBC that started off on Sony Television. I remember the seriousness in the program, the stout voice of Amitab bachan and the way he took the program forward. It was that seriouslness that kept my, my mother (pleaes note: she doesnt understand hindi, can manage with english after a little struggle), sister etc.stick to the program and see till it ends. I still remember the episode when the IAS asparant took part of the program, the audiance poll said option b (about 60% vote)  but he went a head with option c and.... whoa! he wins.. cheers all over my home.. The kind of questions posted were really tuff and i wanted to know the answer. Right from rapid round that starts the game till the end... the show was very captivating.

Later Shahrukh, Govindaa, Salman khan all leading bollywood heroes tried to mimic the program... but no luck... they couldnt even reach 10% of what Amitabachan could do. Amitab had a Raja Mudra on the audience.

I think now the program is bought by Sony entertainment. It seems like they had over engineered it... replaced the rapid round and now 15 participants all of them have a chance to play the game. wait a minute! So some body before me played the 10qns and i continue from the 11th? what is this? why? I felt rediculous. Added the show is now a comedy one where Amitab adds a lot of humor and keeps the show going with his spontaneous/ witty jokes/ dialogues. Seems like he did a lot of homework. But wait a minute.. i m disappointed.. for the suspense is missing... and i m here for it. No body is also interested. it became like any other comedy film. it was not boring... but not entertaining though. I shut the TV 15 min after i watched it.

Personally i think when there is an impression formed about something.. it should not be changed. Eg: at first shot i didnt like the new Bande mataram composed by AR Rehaman. I some how hated to hear it. 'cos i am already with some impression when u say bandemataram and hence the song is disappointing. Same was the case with KBC
