pity firefox

Firefox was/ is my fav browser. I was using it extensively 2 years after google chrome was introduced and wanted to stick to it. I love the addons -delicious/ diigo. However when my company changed something on proxy i was smoked out of firefox due to its weird certificate issue. Every time it asks u and how manyever times u permanantly add the cert it only adds it temporarily. HUH! every day morning i used to manually permanantly add them and after 6 months of this mundane rediculous exercise i moved out to google chrome.

I keep track of new releases in FF; and keep checking if the above issue was fixed. Today i got the latest one 4.0 (not beta version); now delicious doesnt work; googled and googled and then got it working in compatibility mode; now i dont see book marks; 15 min of browsing and i see some weird issues with webpages; certificate issue is, however, still there ( i dont know who the idiot had coded to make the permanatly add cert as temporary and how firefox still keeps the bug unfixed)

I think Firefox is heading towards death. Heard that google pulled off from funding it. What ever be it.. i am deeply sorry for whats happening to it.

lawyer.... :)

One afternoon a wealthy lawyer was riding in his Limousine car when he saw two men along roadside eating grass.Disturbed, he ordered his driver to stop and he got out to investigate. He asked one man "Why are you eating grass?"

"We don't have any money for food," the poor man replied. "We have to eat grass." "Well, then, you can come with me to my house and I'll feed you",the lawyer said."But sir, I have a wife and two children with me.
They are over there, under that tree". "Bring them along," the lawyer replied. Turning to the other poor man he stated, "You come with us also."
The second man, in a pitiful voice then said, "But sir, I also have a wife and SIX children with me!" "Bring them all, as well," the lawyer answered. They all entered the car, which was no easy task, even for a car as large as the Limousine was. Once underway, one of the poor fellows turned to thelawyer and said, "Sir, you are too kind. Thank you for taking all of us with you."

The lawyer replied, "Glad to do it. You'll really love my place; the grass is almost 1 metre high!"

Relief from Rheumatoid Arthritis pain

One of my close relatives has Rheumathoid Arthritis and recently she developed severe pain in ankle. Its so intense that she takes abt 15 sec to take a step; its a severe muscle pain.
On Zee telugu, we happend to see the below medicine which gave her a gud relief (with in 15 min of its use). Its all natural, and so i guess there is are no sideaffects to it. So here it goes
  • Take aavalu(musturd seeds) and powder them
  • mix a small quantity of veniger till its a dry paste.
  • Apply this to the swollen/ pain areas; cover it with a thin cotton cloth.

The above results in severe burning sensation and generally she is able to keep it for not more than 1/2 hr and then cleans it off. We observed this give her good releaf. She says " i feel my foot much lighter; i am not able to run, but am atleast able to walk freely". Wow! that was a great relief to us. Let me know if u tried it and helped u.

Today (3rd day of the treatment,) she is soooo happy, says she feels quite normal (90% relief from the pain you can say). She had been trying various things since last 10 years and suddenly we see something working.. we are so happy... wanted to share the same.. may be somebody suffering may get the help. The previous treatment gave little relief (50% drop in the pain, say)

quite interesting nah?

huh! one more.....

in context of my prev post; heres what went in Assembly (legislative assembly). The guy standing up and speaking is JP who (my fav leader as well) is impeccable for his character/ attitude; he resigned his IAS post disgusted with the corrupt politics of the state. So here he goes... telugu one though.

poor guys (like me) who have a bad internet connection / very less time... concisely his points are as follows

  1. In history combodia/ china almost bought a category of pple to extinct as a result of such a racial hatred.
  2. Nannayya shined the Telugu language; Gurajada apparao -a social reformer advocated uniformity in society; now if we destroy their icons whose works are independent of regions... where is the moment going? what is it conveying?
  3. If u see the statues in the light of regions... then would we see at Mahatma in the same light? So we dont allow icons of Sir Ardhur koton? here are countries who respect India and have our icons in their public squares.so we are telling this wrong?
Finally to JP: I think u need to be breef; having liked u so much many a times i felt u need to cut on examples and reach the point.. atleast when ur point was already conveyed in ur previous stmts.

Karma raa Babu.....

Its very bad/ undigestable of TLeaders for breaking the sculptures of Nannayya, Tikkanna, Yarrapragada, Srikrisha devaraya, Molla. What do they want to convey by this?

* * *

Sir Arthur Koton built 'Prakasam Barriage' on river Godavari saving the place from famine/ floods. Pple out there even today praise him (infact have his name in daily pooja -Sandhya vandanam). They recognize his helping hand and dont hate him as the British Monarch.

* * *

These great pple have given an image to India;Ramayana and Mahabharatha are still the top epics of the world and are known for their skill; they have given identity to Telugu pple. Shouldnt we respect them? How far is it correct to see them as Lords who plunder Telengana assets?

I was concerned till today of the TMoment and some where had a soft corner.... But now i feel 'its better give off the state... or else what else will we have to see down the time?' I am ashamed & embarrassed!!!

Update:: Asked to comment on police failure to save the statues, DGP K Aravinda Rao said: "We did not want to use force as it could have aggravated the situation."

Tolliwood hero..

The other day a tollywood hero was on news and a channel was telling abt a site ihateABCD.com where the site owner created some spoof images of this hero and his immediate friends. In fact the channel showed some of the images as well.. they were sooo funny...  i burst out in laughter.. It sems the hero reported and the site is closed..

I see somuch of hatered among people on this guy, his movies.. the kind of stupid/ foolish/ serious/ silly/ things he does which leaves the audiance in shock unable to digest them.. eg: praying the god and reversing a moving train using his meditation powers.... crawling a mountain in few minutes  to save a rabbit from an eagle... jumping from 15th floor with out paracutes landing on pillows.. etc etc...

Every time i open the net, i first search for such stuff to figure out what other pple think abt the heros.. their coments on them etc... but why? just like that!

The art of celebration

I have just come form a party: one of my old colleagues has his little kid turn 1 year old today and hence the occasion.

Atfirst, before starting off from home, i thought it would be more like a get together at his home and we exchange few words/ comments followed by dinner; but to my astonishment it turned out to be something else: they had this party in the communities auditorium hall, had abt 150 guests invited and it went on a grand scale; I was impressed by the amount of thought that went into it and its meticulous implementation. If  i were him, it wouldnt have been this impressive/ absorbing/ captivating/ enthusiastic.

Having said it its worth speaking a few words abt this guy: he went through a serious financial crunch an year back... though quite stable now... if i were him then i wouldnt even have dared to think of party.. forget organizing and enjoying it...

Most of the times we (to be more accurate I) are of the type... "if at all only i get that then i will be happy; if only i am able to achieve it i will celebrate/ be happy..." but here is the guy who is celebrating with what ever little he has... as some one said "The happiest people donot get the best things,  they just make best of every thing that comes their way"

This was quite a learning to me today, I was quite impressed.

Q

A closed mouth catches no flies.

-Let me put an experience in this context: once i ran into problems with my neighbor here at office. I was severely agitated; i wanted to rebel back and protect my ego, but at the spur of the moment, as always, i went silent and started thinking of a better solution. That evening i called up my friends and one of theirs suggestion : stay calm; dont react impressed me the most. I obeyed it for the next 7 days and then felt so releived. Today somehow i remembered the incident and hence the quote. ;)

Mahaa Siva Rathri :: better give holiday!

Yesterday was Mahasivaratri. I surveyed and found only one person (out of 8) is fasting and keeping awake all the night. Today i see the cubilles empty :D and i am the first guy to be here.

Today morning i thought of coming very late under the pritixt that even i was awake; moreover i guess pple will not expect us to be here on time as well. However I was ready, as anyother day, and didnt want to stay home just to be late. Even though its the working day i think people will be only 50% productive today; then why not the company declares today a holiday? worried of the work? when things are pressing we anyhow stay late nights/ work on the weekends (so the work wouldnt really suffer)
