we are in our own world
india vs china
Lets put the patiotic feelings a side...
Today i was reading abt china before 1950 and after it. It grew from 5% GDP to 10%; the poverty came down from 64% to 36% and its more export oriented country. It has a strong management/ communist leadership in place which ensured this. Few days back i remember an article telling that india is far behind and will overtake china in 2015. The main argument cited for this is that by then the average age in india would be less than the china and hence the overtake. However my views are diffarent.
To the best of my understanding its the leadership/ management thats more important than the workforce/ the ability to do work by the low level pple. So i am not sure if this will really become a reality... atleast given the hisoty of the 2 nations and their strategic moves till now.
Movies
Recently my father had seen this movie of MaheshBabu - Atadu, Pokiri and started wondering why he missed them to see on screen. Every time he sees it he always tells us as why we didnt tell him theres such a gud movie released. He feels so bad. Recently a new movie Khaleja is on posters and everytime he sees it he tells us that he will not miss seeing it. On the other side i am not that enthu for movies as often i see them disappointing to me. However i m planning to see this movie: raktacfharita as it releases with in 1st week or else it will leave the city. Its directed by my fav director: Ram gopal verma. Couple of weeks back i had seen this movie Gaayam2 and was disappointed ; however later i learnt it was his assistant who directed it and not him and then i was happy!

Expanding out-sourcing
Britan is short of Math lecutrers and are trying to outsource it to india. So its like this: pple from here teach students out there and are paid 7 - 12Pounds per hour. Initially there was an outcry in Britan but government said that this is just a stop gap measure fo fix the issue.

CWG games
So finally the CWG games have started off... amid all controversies, allegations, hits and misses. Countries as small as 21 square kilometers with population count of 10,000 are also participating (ok didnt remember its name). This country had won as many as 10 medals in commonwealth games till now.
Theres a country with 32 square kilometers with less than 2000 population. There is a shooter from these countries who is as old as 60 years! It seems their sports authority is falling after people to come and join for comman wealth games. This country has wone a bronze medal once.
isnt it amazing to know of such things?

Ayodhya :bad news
The bad news is that i have to go to office now. Yesterday we anticipated today to be a holiday. huh! damn it! its not the case now! and guess what.. most of my frnds have planned for a long weekend and went home etc.. now its all shattered they will all see one day loss of pay / leave atleast.
All i pray.. if at all the temple comes up let it not turn out like Tirupathi. These days we hear a lot abt it mainly for the corruption inthe top officials, laddu preparation and most importantly ... very very importantly VIP Darsanams. Every body pitches in now and then forcing the public to wait for even more hours in the queue.
Ayodhya: happy ending
- I follow NTV very closely. And recently i see the journalist being biased during the discussions. Yesterday he tried to raise a glitch in the judgement and one of the pple out there -Jayaprakash Narayan said "lets not do randhranveshana (lets not find holes in the verdict)", This is great. It sees like every body in india wanted piece and harmony. This was their primary point; "forget the verdict i want the nation to be calm" is what i could see (out of the little intelligence i have) inthe reactions
- A Muslim came up to the TV and expressed his happiness towards the judgement. Atleast i didnt expect this from them. Out of my limited understanding and observation of the things aroudn, they generally dont come out this way and speak.
- When interviewing the pple either side were happy of the verdict

Ayodhya : Mixed reactions
- 2 of them were aware of what happened and expressed their content on the judgement
- 1 person didnt even know what the judgement was and was sleeping when i was glued to the TV screen
- 2 persons knew what has happened but was with attitude: " so what. Why should i care?" Showing they are least bothered abt the issue.
Ayodhya Govt preparation for the judgement
Government behaved quite responsively. With about 40K (is what i read on net some time back) or 2Lakh of security spand across all 32 sensitive areas; infact the center was prepared with a helicopter and ariplanes to quickly deploy the teams incase of any riots. This is quite impressinve and shows howmuch immportance they give tothe human life. When hearing abt these in NDTV i felt proud .

With a thumbs-up, guess who holds India hand? Pak
Mon, Sep 27 06:02 AM The Malaysian and Botswanian teams today joined the ranks of those complaining against the state of affairs in the Commonwealth Games Village, while the South African envoy cried "a threat to the lives of athletes" after a snake was found in one of the rooms allotted to the country's sportspersons. However, there was good news on at least one front for the beleaguered Commonwealth Games officials: Pakistan. Not only have officials from the country given a thumbs-up to the arrangements and security preparedness for the Games, but also accused "Westerners" of being overly critical. "We have been given complete assurance by the organisers and our security liaison officer is in India at the moment. We trust the Indian government to provide full protection, and we have no security concerns. Hopefully our entire 75-member contingent will be in India on the 29th as planned," Pakistan Olympic Association president Syed Arif Hasan told The Indian Express on Sunday. In present times, Hasan noted, no country can assure completely incident-free events, except guaranteeing foolproof security. "We have had teams in India before and not had any problems," he said. While Hasan added that "it would have obviously been better if the infrastructure had been ready in advance", he said he understood that there could be delays. "We have also had floods and a lot of rain, and the country is reeling under its effects. So nature cannot be predicted or controlled. Even in Athens there were concerns till the last minute but the Olympics went off brilliantly," the Pakistan Olympic Association chief said.
